A charming home in Kensington underwent an extensive redesign and renovation, transforming it into a spacious and functional living environment. The addition of grand raked ceilings and an extension to the rear living and kitchen areas expanded the footprint of this single-level home, sitting on a generous block. The brief for Parker Studio was to create thoughtful, timeless spaces that cater to family living, resulting in a home that feels both inviting and sophisticated.

The design incorporates a classic colour palette, featuring rendered wall finishes and rich natural stones that lend the home a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Subtle hints of aged bronze and black fittings bring a touch of masculinity to the space, while the striking monolithic kitchen island, crafted from Acoya Pearl quartzite, serves as the central feature of the home. This kitchen is designed as the heart of the family space, with the large, communal island becoming the perfect gathering point for family and friends.
